Event description

Description

This series of talks explore how to live greener and transform your small spaces into productive, natural areas. This last event of the series focuses on the basics of organically growing vegetables and herbs in pots and containers.

The increasing reality of living with limited space means Sydneysiders have been getting creative in the way they’re growing vegies and plants. Think outside the square when considering home food production by maximising space and light. Learn which types of containers are best as well as how to take advantage of available light sources.

Unearth how to best utilise your window sills, balconies, rooftops and courtyards. Take home tips on potting mixes and most suitable plants to kick start your urban food garden.

Connect with like-minded urban gardeners through our series of talks and get practical information that you can apply to your home spaces.

Suitable for older teenage and adult beginner urban gardeners, this free event is limited, so bookings are essential.

Waterloo Library is wheelchair friendly.
