Green our City planting
Date and time
Join us in planting local native trees and shrubs and learn about Kaurna aboriginal culture.
About this event
By joining in you'll be helping to improve the biodiversity of this reserve and create habitat for wildlife.
This year we are fortunate to have members of the Kaurna community come along and teach us about Kaurna aboriginal culture and their connection to Country.
The event includes a free barbecue lunch with vegetarian options.
Please bring gloves and if possible your own spade to avoid the need for sharing. The session will go ahead unless there is heavy rain, strong winds or storms forecast on the morning of the session.
Location: St Agnes Reserve, Cinnamon Avenue, St Agnes.
Suitable for all ages - children must be accompanied by parent/carer.
Cost: free
Bookings essential.
This 'Green Our City' planting replaces our annual National Tree Day planting event. We have loved National Tree Day but have discovered that the timing of this event in late July early August is too close to the summer season to ensure good survival of plants.
COVID-19 requirements: details for each person attending, social distancing will be in place, hand sanitiser will be available. Please do not attend if you are feeling unwell.
