About this event
Starting to notice weak starts, sluggish gear changes, loss of power or mysterious aches and pains in your body?
That stress you’ve been carrying might be starting to affect your engine.
It’s time for a service.
Turn off the fight or flight reflex for an hour and treat the symptoms of your stress in the privacy of your own home.
- Stop taking in new information and give yourself time to process the backlog.
- Slow down your blood pressure with purposeful breathing.
- Loosen up your back with some simple stretching.
- Release the tension in your tired muscles with a neck, shoulder, arm and hand massage.
- Put a stop to niggling headaches by bringing blood back into the scalp through stimulating nerve endings in your scalp and face.
- Open your eyes to what else is going on around you.
All from the comfort of your favourite recliner.
Is it yoga?
Is it meditation?
No.
It’s a Grease and Oil Change.
Good maintenance and servicing for your body is not just about an occasional visit to the doc. It's about keeping an eye out for any issues that may arise and addressing the symptoms on the spot.
Cherie Stitt began these Grease and Oil Change workshops in 2015 to create open and honest conversations about mental health for people living in the bush.
The Grease and Oil Change Workshops are community based, not for profit events held on Wiradjuri Country in Central West NSW.
The aim is to provide a community platform for rural folk to come together and learn tools that will help them to be better equipped to live their happiest and healthiest lives.
We aim to help people in rural communities find the strength and skills to help themselves, and those around them.
