Join local Trundle Clinical Psychologist Vicki Maher who will be discussing and sharing some basic and practical strategies that we can all use to improve our mental health - connecting with others, getting active, watching our negative/critical thinking patterns, and settling our body’s anxiety response. These strategies can benefit all of us. Morning tea will be provided.
A little bit about Vicki...
Vicki is a Clinical Psychologist, and is passionate about mental health awareness and treatment. She has worked in the field of psychology since 2004, and completed a Masters degree in 2014. She has worked throughout this time with adults, in community care setting, treating common mental health presentations such as anxiety, depression, trauma, drug and alcohol difficulties, treatment of suicidality and suicide prevention and issues that present within the perinatal period. She moved to Trundle last year with her husband Jason and young family, with the plan to support the mental health needs of Trundle and the surrounding community. Currently, Vicki sees local clients at the Trundle MPS, on a Monday and Friday.
Some Background to the Grease and Oil Change Workshops:
What is it? A brain and body workshop for rural men and women. In this our 7th year of The Grease and Oil Change, we're offering a few small workshops. These are Not For Profit events and all money is received via donations and funding.
Who should go? Anyone - all ages - living within a rural community who would like to hear and know more about living an even better life. It's aimed at men and women, farmers and non farmers and anyone who wants to learn more about living a fantastic life.
When is it on? Forbes, Monday May 30, 2022 for a 6pm start.
Where is it being held? The Back Room Forbes.
How much does it cost? FREE, COMPLETELY FREE!
Will we be fed? Absolutely! Local caterers will be taking care of delicious and nutritious food to nourish our bodies.
