Are you a local community group, not-for-profit, or small business, with an event or project in the works, which needs help on how to prepare competitive government grant applications?

Get set to be informed and amazed at Regional Development Australia Sunshine Coast’s (RDASC) free workshops – Grants for Growth: Adopting an evidence-based approach to grant writing using .id.

Co-presented by RDASC, Sunshine Coast Council, Noosa Shire Council and .id – the population experts, the workshops will be held at two locations so as to service the entire region:

• The Hive Co-Working & Office Space, Manuka Boardroom, Suite 101, Level 1, Tower 2, Kon-Tiki Business Centre, 55 Plaza Parade, Maroochydore on Wednesday, June 19 from 9.30am-noon.

• Noosa Shire Council, Level 2, 9 Pelican Street, Tewantin on Wednesday, June 19 from 6-8.30pm.

You’ll get expert advice from our esteemed presenters: Rob Hall, Lead Economic Consultant, .id – the population experts; Kerrieanne Haggie, Industry Advancement Leader, Tourism, Sport and Leisure, Economic Development and Major Projects at Sunshine Coast Council; and Sarah Wetton, RDASC Research and Grants Coordinator.

As a community group, not-for-profit, or small business operating in the Sunshine Coast, you’ll gain vital insights into how to acces regional statistics, trends and information essential to setting the strategic context for your project for your grant applications. You will also get exclusive access and training in the use of .id’s Event Impact Calculator and Economic Impact Model to demonstrate the economic contribution your project could have on your local council and the broader Sunshine Coast region.

In addition, workshop educators will run through case study examples for attendees to follow using their own project – with break-out groups tailored to attendees focus areas including events, infrastructure and community projects.
