About this event

This five hour FREE workshop will assist local community groups, not-for-profits and community groups with grant writing training and up-skilling of members. It always helps to have a refresh on these topics even if you've been doing it for a long time!*

Facilitator: Petina Tieman - Complete Business Solutions

Time: Starting 9am to 3pm (with breaks) at Cooktown PCYC.

A light lunch, tea and coffee will be provided on the days - pre-registration is required.

Please bring:

Pens, Notepad, willingness to learn and any questions you may have regarding the training.

*please note these sessions will be focusing on the Community Gambling Benefit Fund and Cook Shires Regional Arts Development Funding Programs.

DAY 1 - Wednesday 18th January 2023

• Budgeting • Governance • Compliance for events – i.e. permits etc.• Event co-ordination and management • Committee/board members SWOT, roles and responsibilities

DAY 2 - Thursday 19th January 2023

• Understanding grant guidelines• Grant writing tips and tricks • Grant assessment processes• Grant acquittals• Workshopping through drafting a grant application
