Grand Canyon Track Hike ~ Wine Tasting & Winery Lunch // Sat 14th December 6.3km

JOIN US. On this hike of the Iconic Grand Canyon one of the only canyons you can access by foot in the Blue Mountains National Park. Circa 1907 this is a stunning hike deep down onto the canyon floor, you will feel like you have just stepped into the Jurrassic Period.

Featuring: Lush Forests, Historic Tracks, Farm Land, Wildlife, Wine, Long lunch, Gourmet Food, Canyons, Creeks, Rain Forests.

What's Included: Guided Hike, Snacks, Wine Tasting & Lunch, ( we provide dietary alternatives for those with food allergies etc )

Excluded: Purchasing extra alcohol is at your own expense ( wine tasting is included )

Cost: $105 incl GST

Deposit: $20~ Final payment of $85 is due 14 days from the date of deposit.



  • Meet & Greet at Evans Lookout, Evans Lookout Rd, Blackheath at 8am

  • Setting out from Evans Lookout, the well shaded track meanders through luscious native vegitation of ferns & golden wattles, keeping close to Greaves Creek.

  • Travelling along the track we turn off to hike along to the stunning Beachamp Falls, returning back to the Grand canyon we continue along our loop back to Evans Lookout.

  • Following our hike, we will drive through the Megalong Valley & onto our "Long Lunch & Wine Tasting" served by our friends at Dryridge Estate.

  • Relaxing at the winery we are served a delicious gourmet ploughmans lunch, lovingly prepared by Emma ...... showcasing local produce from the Megalong Valley & surrounds, washing this all down with a wine tasting of 9 different varieties of grape from Dryridge Estate.

  • Taking time to enjoy our lunchtime oasis, & having a brief look at the iconic 6 foot track, we head back to our cars to shuttle back to Evans Lookout where we say goodbye.

FINISH: 3 - 3.30pm approx depends on group pace & how long we take for lunch

Who is this event suitable for?

  • This is a mixed event, for 18yrs & over due to our lunch at the winery

What is the walking pace?

  • We will be hiking at a moderate pace, catering for everyone, being mindful of different fitness levels & efforts involved, not rushing to finish, taking care to respect each other. Hiking together, we believe in a group, is the same as being in a team, we make sure all hikers in our group are together keeping each other well supported & safe.

What happens if I wish to walk faster than the group?

  • We do understand that everyone walks at different paces, this is a moderate walking pace hike. If you are walking faster & way ahead of the group you are missing out on what Lost & Found Wellness Adventures is all about; you are missing out on the enriching life experience with your group. If your guide can not see you, you are out of safe supervising range. Unfortunately we can not take any responsibility for you. It is best to stay within range of our group.

What is the Grade?

  • This is a grade 3 hard moderate hike, it has steep stairs, track steepness, single track & water crossings.

What size backpack do I need?

  • You will just need a day pack to carry your snacks, water & jacket.

Is there any mobile phone reception?

  • Reception is poor on the track. The only telco with some service is TELSTRA 4G network.

Do I need any money?

  • We provide all meals, wine tasting is included. If you wish to purchase any drinks or alcohol you will need money. DryRidge Estate has eftpos.

What if I have dietary requirements?

  • No problem. we cater for vegan, keto, vegetarian & gluten free diets. Let us know once you have booked your ticket.

What happens if there is an emergency?

  • Your professional guide is trained in Wilderness first aid. Your guide will carry a first aid kit, have a PLB registered with emergency services & registration with Blue Mountains National Park Office. Our guides carry a topographic map with compass & are trained in wilderness navigation. Each guide is equipped with a mobile phone & 2 way radio if needed.


We provide a refund less $50 admin & permit fee up to 7 days before event. There is no refund given with less than 7 days notice before event. This is due to catering, fees & permits which are non-refundable from our end. Your ticket however may be transferred to another person who wishes to join us.
