Friends Who Are Going
Event description

Description

Last year we lost Graeme – husband and father to sarcoma cancer. He was 52 years old. He was a healthy man – never smoked and rarely had a drink. For weeks he complained about a pain in his side. They found a tumour on his kidney on 26th August 2016 – Daffodil Day. He died on Saturday 29th October 2016 – 9 weeks later.

Graeme was a musician. He played electric guitar and he liked it loud and heavy. Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and Deep Purple being some favourites. He was always out gigging with his Gibson Flying V. We called him the Rock God.

We don’t want another person to die from sarcoma. It’s an aggressive rare cancer, you can tell why it’s so hard to study it – it’s so quick. They need more research but to do that they need money.

Saturday November 11th is Graeme’s Gig! We are putting together a gig at Club Old Bar who have kindly supported us. We’d love to see you there.

We’ve got some great bands and musicians playing and we have a jam session as well. Please come along and support us raise money for this vital research.

- Special Appearance by Comedian Andy Saunders

- Live music by AXIS
