Description

Life event mapping workshop

Are you curious about life event mapping? As part of Innovation Month, the DTA’s govX team is hosting a session to discuss and share our methodology when mapping a life event.

What is govX?
Short for Government Experience, the govX program works with federal and state government to understand and support the redesign of services around the life events people experience. GovX uses a structured and repeatable approach to map the ways people experience different life events, while exploring how interactions with government affect these experiences.

A life event could include growing a business, having a baby or the death of a loved one. The program provides insights into the common pain points users experience to inform innovative ways to solve these problems. Through this research, the team identify and test potential improvements and solutions, which in turn inform the work of the govX life event communities.

Workshop program

The interactive session will begin with a presentation on the anatomy of a life event, and the importance of using a life events lens when designing government services. Following the presentations, participants will be given the opportunity to map the journey of a life event with the help of the govX journey mapping team.
