About our graduations

Our graduation ceremonies are a great opportunity to reflect on all your hard work and celebrate with your trainers, classmates, friends, and family. Studying for a qualification is not for the faint of heart. It can be challenging, stressful and demanding. This is the time to pat yourself on the back and be proud of what you’ve achieved.

We are thrilled to announce that Magda Szubanski will be joining us as our keynote speaker at all three ceremonies, which will be emceed by Tim Campbell.

GOTAFE graduation ceremonies are free for students and their guests, however registrations are essential.

Frequently asked questions:

• I completed my studies prior to 2021/22 but was unable to attend a graduation ceremony. Can I attend one in 2021?

Yes. We encourage you to register to attend a graduation ceremony to celebrate your achievements.

• I didn’t receive a graduation invite – can I still attend a ceremony?

If you completed your studies in 2021/22 you will be allowed to attend a graduation ceremony. It is important you register to secure a place at the graduation before reservations close. If you did not receive a graduation invitation, please notify your course trainer.

• Is there a dress code for graduation?

Yes. Please dress in semi-formal attire.

• I won’t be able to attend a graduation ceremony – can my certificate be posted to me instead?

If you cannot attend a graduation ceremony, you will still receive your official course completion certificate in the mail in line with your graduating requirements. Attending a graduation ceremony does not impact whether or not you successfully complete a course.

• How many guests can accompany me to my graduation?

Each graduating student can bring up to 2 guests. Places are limited, so we recommend booking early to avoid disappointment.
