ATTIRE: Attire is relaxed and informal.

About GOOD PEOPLE: Most of the enjoyment we gain from an experience has more to do with who we're with than what we're doing. Good People is about inspiration, community and friendships. Who are good people? They’re our best selves, when we rise above tribalism and explore big ideas.

OUR SPEAKERS:

"Artificial intelligence may be our greatest existential threat."

- Elon Musk -

Our friends Nitasha and Saad have operated for years in the ecosystem around artificial intelligence. Nitasha earned her degree at Simon Fraser University in Computer Science with a concentration in Artificial Intelligence and Saad is a venture investor at Telstra.

The two are also husband and wife and have very different and contrasting views on the immense benefits and perils of what is known as Artificial General Intelligence.

Imagine a machine which is far smarter and more capable across a wide range of domains of expertise and loose in the world. Now imagine it self-improving to be 100 times smarter than us or 1,000 or 1,000,000.

Tonight, we'll discuss how this could transform our world and if it might make homo sapiens godlike or obsolete.
