Collaboration for Success: Strategies for Collective Learning and Meaningful Change

This workshop will generate deep discussion with school leaders about research-based practice in schools and systems. School leaders will have the opportunity to reflect on their school- based practice and leadership and explore possibilities for meaningful change.

The day includes the following:

Keynote speakers delivering evidenced based research and collaborative practice, theory and purpose of professional learning.

Exemplar case studies of school based collaborative professional learning will be presented.

An interactive panel of school leaders will discuss a myriad of professional learning.

Formal workshops for collaborative discussion and enquiry will be led by experienced system and school leaders.


Presentations on these topics will be given by Dr Tony Loughland and Professor Pasi Sahlberg. Other presenters are current primary and secondary school principals and school based leaders including Julie Fitzsimons, Geoff Wing, Paul Sheather.


Audience: This course is designed to be attended with a team of leaders in your school (classroom teachers, community liaison officers, executive teams, teacher quality advisors, Principals, Directors and system leaders).

This course is accredited by the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) for 6 hours of professional learning at Lead Teacher level. Standards addressed: 2.3, 3.1, 3.3, 4.2, 5.2, 6.2
