About this event

Precision Sourcing Australia has teamed up with Golf Australia, the PGA of Australia, and AWS and to invite you to the first Australian Golf DataJam. The event will take place at the new Australian Golf Centre in Melbourne on Friday 18 November 2022 and is aimed at producing significant insights to inspire more Australians to play more golf. Australia's best data minds can access years’ worth of rich data to help deliver solutions that could influence and innovate golf’s digital experience.

What is a DataJam?

DataJam is a type of hackathon held for data enthusiasts to solve problems using data sets that are firstly ‘de-identified’ making them anonymous. The events can produce visual data, analytics and applications that can be used in everyday life.

What to expect?

Simply put, it is a hackathon with data. In our eyes, hackathons were created for hacking and web development so we thought we would create a new name for the data world, hence DataJam. A group of analysts and statisticians coming together to create actionable insights from a data set. Teams will have the chance to create better experiences for golfers and grow engagement in the game.

Watch the video below for more details on what to expect.
