As you know next year the Golden Key International Honour Society will be celebrating its 25th Anniversary in Asia Pacific. During the conference, we will reflect on the amazing journey we have shared over the past two and a half decades with so many wonderful individuals, and celebrate the achievements of members and chapters. Importantly, we will recognise the contributions of key university leaders who have made this journey possible.

For this wonderful occasion we have been working hard behind the scenes to create a three day program to take you on a journey of learning, sharing and development. In 2018 we look back over the past 25 years at the chapter achievements, celebrate key people and look forward to the next 25 years. You can use this conference to equip you with the skills, tools and knowledge you need to be the type of leader that our future demands.

At the conference we also will be looking forward into the future. We are excited to have selected the United Nations Global Sustainable Development Goals for this conference and the conference theme of :

Transforming our world through "Innovation, Sustainability and Technology"

What to expect from the APAC 18 program:

  • International and local speakers, including two United Nations representatives

  • 25th Anniversary Alumni Breakfast (Invitation only)

  • Professional Development and Leadership workshops

  • Poster session - GK Activity and History

  • Panel discussions

  • Plenary Sessions with keynote speakers

  • A Cultural Activity - Thursday day

  • A Mystery Social Event - Friday evening

  • A Community Service Activity

  • The annual Gala Dinner and Awards evening

What are the different conference registration options?

There are 4 conference registration options:

1) Standard Member Registration (Full):

The Standard Member Registration applies to Golden Key members only. It gives you all-inclusive access to every event at the Asia-Pacific Conference 2018. This pass is a great option if you are coming in for the duration of the conference and want to take advantage of everything from the Opening Session and Welcome BBQ, to all workshops, all speakers, panels, Expo, service event, Gala Dinner and much more!

2) Early Bird

It is a Standard Member Registration but get in early before 31st of December, you save $50. Only 100 available passes for Members Only.

3) Saturday and Gala Dinner Only Ticket:

This includes access to all activities on Saturday including speakers, workshops, service project, Q&A panel and the off-site Gala Dinner celebration. This is only available to Golden Key members and guest only. * Member and Non-Member prices apply.

What is included in the registration fee?

The Standard Member Registration and Non-Member Registration allows you full access to all workshops and events throughout the conference. This also includes the following meals:

Thursday: Welcome BBQ dinner
Friday: Networking Lunch and Snacks
Saturday: Snacks and Gala Dinner (2 course meal, canapes and drinks)

The Gala Dinner Ticket allows access to the Saturday Gala Dinner only.

Registration fees do not include flights, travel, accommodation or personal expenses.

Are there any hotel discounts available?

We are also excited to let you know we have arranged discounts for accommodation at a number of hotels in Melbourne near the conference location. Please contact apac@goldenkey.org for more details.

What if I have special needs/requests? Is there a place to note this on registration?

If you have any special needs, requests or dietary requirements, please note these under the ‘Allergies’ section when registering for the conference via Eventbrite. If you need to provide additional information, please email apac@goldenkey.org.

What if I need to cancel my registration?

Cancellations before 6 December attract a $35 cancellation fee.
From 7 December to 31 January the cancellation fee is $60.
From 1 February, cancellation results in a 100% forfeit of the registration fee.

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?

No, tickets are not transferrable and the name on the ticket must match the name of the attendee.

Can I register a guest to bring with me?

Yes, you may bring guests. Guests that are not Golden Key members can purchase a ticket please contact apac@goldenkey.org for non-member price. Gala Dinner Ticket option only is not available to non-members .

Can I attend the conference if I am not a Golden Key member?

Yes, you can. Please contact apac@goldenkey.org for Non-Member Registration ticket option.

Are scholarships or travel grants available?

Some Golden Key chapters have funding available to assist members in attending the conference. To find out if your chapter is offering a travel grant for the conference, please contact your local Chapter President by searching for your chapter via this link.
