Event description

Description

You are invited to attend the 13th Gold Coast Homelessness Symposium, hosted by the Gold Coast Homelessness Network.

This year's event will focus on the GC2018 Commonwealth Games and aims to explore:

- how major events impact vulnerable people

- how the sector will respond and support clients in the lead up to, during, and after the Games

- how are we supporting vulnerable renters now and during the Games

- how can we stay connected to people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness

- how we can assist our clients to participate in the art, culture and community activities associated with Embracing GC2018 and Festival 2018

There is free, off-street parking available at the venue.

Catering is being provided on a limited budget similar to that of a homeless person. We ask that all attendees donate a book for the Gold Coast Street Library or make a donation of what you think lunch is worth in return for a hot soup lunch. Feel free to bring your own lunch if you prefer.

We also encourage attendees to bring your own water bottle and coffee cup.

We would like to thank our 2017 Symposium sponsors:
