Event description

Description

RDA Gold Coast is a proud to partner with FIAL (Food Innovation Australia Limited), the Department of State Development, Manufacturing, Infrastructure and Planning, RDA Logan & Redlands and RDA Ipswich & West Moreton for a series of workshops and events designed to boost the competitiveness and innovation of businesses in the food and agribusiness sector.

The growth of China continues with millions of Chinese consumers not just moving into the middle class but also embracing online retail to a degree not seen in other countries. Tremendous opportunities for food service, food manufacturers and agribusiness business to sell online exist.

China’s demand for Australian food will continue as many goods once delivered locally are now regularly purchased online. As China trade barriers fall and technology improves competition will intensify.

China’s annual online-retail sales are estimated to reach $610 billion by 2018, the Chinese government target is to connect 1.2 billion people to the internet by 2020, which is 85% of the population.
