The 2016 Acts 29 Conference will be held on the Gold Coast on February 25 - 27.
Acts 29 invites you to start the year well with this special three day event focusing on building healthy leaders.
It is clear from both 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1 that there is nothing extraordinary about leaders among God’s people. The requirements for elders (a.k.a bishops or pastors) is that they live exemplary lives. They lead by showing others what it means to be a disciple in the everyday. The one distinguishing mark of a pastor is his ability to teach - explaining how the gospel shapes and defines our lives as the people of God. Therefore, Healthy Leaders are first and foremost examples to the flock of what it means to be a sheep!
We have designed the culture and content of the conference to encourage and equip leaders at every level in the local church. Thus, we encourage pastors, ministry staff, church planting residents, lay-leaders, and church members to attend.
Conference features include:
- Six keynote presentations from respected A29 leaders around the world
- Breakout sessions targeting specific areas of church planting and pastoral ministry
- Church planter Q&A panel
- Time to spend in fellowship in beautiful Gold Coast
The theme for this year's conference is Building Healthy Leaders and we have a great line-up of guest speakers, including:
Léonce B. Crump Jr - Founding pastor of Renovation Church in Atlanta, Georgia. Léonce is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma and holds Masters degrees in Criminal Justice, Missional Leadership, and is finishing his Masters of Divinity at Reformed Theological Seminary this year. Leónce serves as an executive board member for the Acts 29 network. He and his wife Breanna live in the Grant Park community of Atlanta, and have three children.
Adam Ramsey - Lead Pastor of Liberti Church in Gold Coast, Queensland. After pioneering ministries in both hemispheres, Adam has recently planted Liberti, a joy-filled community of people who live to show off Jesus everywhere they are. He is deeply passionate about preaching the gospel and struggles to keep his voice at an appropriate decibel when doing so. Adam loves being married to Kristina and wrestling his five kids.
David Fandey - Lead Pastor of The Fields Church, Carlsbad, California, USA. David has years of experience as a Pastor, a church planter, and a university lecturer. David serves as the Network Director of Acts 29 Australia and New Zealand. He is married to Wilma and they have six children.
