Description

The Go Girl Summit is a collaborative initiative between the Victoria University Leadership team and VU Hanger. The aim is to provide opportunities that inspire and empower our young female students and women in the broader community.

The series involves a variety of networking and forum type events with a focus on leadership and entrepreneurship. Our final event will be held in March 2018, in celebration of International Women's Day. Events are open to all.

Confidence Toolkit: NETWORKING EXPO.

We know that talk isn't enough. We need to continue to build our skill set and develop ourselves. The Networking Expo. will look at the art of networking, a key skill to help you succeed in any industries. The event will begin with a panel of industry experts who will discuss their key tips and tricks to networking. Following this, you will be able to put your newly learned skills into practice at our shared lunch and networking session.

The Q&A panel discussion will explore:

- How can you benefit from connections/how connections can benefit from you?

- How does career networking help make you a better leader/improve your leadership skills?

- The key to Networking for your career/personal development

PANELIST:

Ren Butler: BlueChilli Entrepreneur in Residences, Founder & CEO The Whisky Social

Ren Butler is the Entrepreneur in Residence for BlueChilli, nurturing new founders through their journey from idea to launch. She is also the founder and CEO of The Whisky Social, an events and content organisation on a mission to make whisky social again. Her background in international markets, science education and systems thinking all combine to bring a unique and dynamic approach to building start-ups and cultivating great founder talent. She's passionate about trying new things, cultural cohesion, and diversity."


Kirsteene Phelan COO: Rome2Rio

Kirsteene Phelan is the COO of Rome2 Rio, a comprehensive global trip planner start-up based in Melbourne, which focuses on taking the stress out of travel planning. She has 15 years of experiences in marketing, media, and management for online marketplaces such as Etsy.com and Inspire9 co-working.


Will Dayble: Fitzroy Academy

Will Dayble is the founder of Fitzroy Academy, an online social impact school, with users located in 263 cities. Will is involved in social entrepreneurship, speaker diversity and has experience working with not for profits.
