The Global Postlaryngectomy Rehabilitation Academy (GPRA) Workshop aims to provide participants with current trends and practices in post-laryngectomy rehabilitation, including voice, pulmonary and olfaction rehabilitation.

This two-day course is composed of a series of lectures, cadaver demonstrations and patient demonstrations. It is of interest to anyone wishing to expand clinical knowledge of the laryngectomy patient.

The registration fee includes attendance at the two-day workshop, morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea during official programmed breaks, an equipment sample pack, one ticket to attend the official workshop dinner on Thursday 31 October 2019, and return transfers to the MERF centre (for cadaver demonstration) on Friday 1 November from Princess Alexandra Hospital.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Transport and/or parking costs getting to the Princess Alexandra Hospital on Thursday 31 October and Friday 1 November are not included in the registration fee. Additional information: How to get to the PA Hospital and Parking.

The registration fee DOES include return transportation from the Princess Alexandra Hospital to the MERF Centre on Friday 1 November.

How can I register and pay?

Register through Eventbrite and pay with a credit card, cheque, or direct deposit.

  • Credit Card (Visa/Mastercard/Amercian Express): Register and pay online via Eventbrite and pay with a credit card.
  • Cheque: Register via Eventbrite and at the payment dropdown menu select "pay by cheque". Make cheque payable to "PA Research Foundation" and on the reference/memo line include "TFSpeechPth Participant Surname". What's the cancellation / refund policy?

If you have to cancel your registration, you can do so through Eventbrite, or by contacting Sandra at the PA Research Foundation: email / 07 3176 2359. Refunds will be processed using the same method of payment used to pay for the registration.

  • Registrations cancelled on or before 31 September 2019 will receive a full refund.
  • Registrations cancelled between 1-18 October 2019 will receive a 50% refund.
  • Registrations cancelled after 18 October 2019 are not entitled to a refund.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

No need for a printed ticket. Just save the ticket to your mobile to have scanned at the registration desk upon arrival.
