With a rise in incidents threatening Australia's traditionally strong social fabric, 2016 has faced concerning developments in the area of human rights and civil liberties.
Seeing a parliamentary inquiry into the Racial Discrimination Act, revelations of Indigenous inmate abuse, continued international criticism of Australia’s refugee policy and the emergence of political parties seeking to exploit community divisions, where do we go from here?
Meet corporate, academic and community leaders attending to maximise their impact in a catered event at the office of BDO. We are delighted to welcome Professor Gillian Triggs for a conversation on the state of human rights in Australia.
