Event Details

Gidgestock Music Festival returns for its 4th year this October, bringing some of the best local music Perth has to offer to the beautiful hills of Gidgegannup, for this family-friendly, fund-raising festival, just 45 minutes from Perth city.

Experience a natural amphitheatre bush setting, live bands, campfires, rustic camping and dancing under the stars, then wake to the call of the kookaburras on Sunday morning for more fabulous music and a hearty cooked breakfast!

All of the musicians/bands donate their time, as do the stage crew and a group of fabulous volunteers who, together with our generous Sponsors, make the event possible.  The venue too is donated by our wonderful hosts, Steve & Jo Mitcham, who open the gates of their 50 acre property for the festival weekend.

All profits from the Gidgestock Music Festival are donated on a 50/50 basis to the West Gidgegannup Volunteer Fire Service and to the Leukaemia Foundation.

Gates open 10am Saturday so come early to secure a fabulous spot and enjoy the atmosphere. The music begins at 11.30am Saturday and runs until midnight then starts again 8am Sunday morning until the festival closes at 1pm.

When does the festival start?

Gates open 10 am Saturday (13th of October) with a terrific range of local musicians playing from 11.30am to midnight on Saturday and 8 am til 1pm on Sunday (14th of October).

What do I need to show to get in?

To enter Gidgestock, you will need to print your ticket purchase confirmation and present it at the gate when you arrive. You will be given your Program Booklet and directed where to go. Tickets can be purchased at the gate, but this will be cash only and dependent on availability. Tickets are limited.

Raffle Tickets

There are many fabulous prizes donated by our sponsors for the raffle, including a magnificent Guitar from Zenith Music. The draw will be held on closure of the Festival, at 1pm on Sunday 14 October, on the Gidgestock stage and the event will be recorded and winners names published in the West Australian Newspaper on Wednesday 17 October. Winners not present at the time of the draw will be contacted by the organisers to arrange delivery of the prizes.

What should I do if I want to camp?

Campsites are available if you want to join us for a night under the stars. Camping costs $20 and includes breakfast. Please bring your tent, sleeping bags etc.

Caravan sites are available by prior application only. Note that a 4WD is needed to bring a caravan due to the uneven surface and slope of the venue.  Anyone planning to bring a caravan must check availability by phoning the venue manager, Steve Mitcham, on: 0427 550 228.

How do I get there?

Gidgegannup is most easily accessed by car. To get to the festival grounds:

  • Coming from Perth, on the Toodyay Road you take a left turn into Reen Road.

Organiser Profile

Gidgestock is a family-friendly music festival, made possible by the support of you and our sponsors.

Special thanks to Social Force for managing our digital marketing and event marketing activities.

All profits from the Gidgestock Music Festival are donated on a 50/50 basis to the West Gidgegannup Volunteer Fire Service and to the Leukaemia Foundation.

It is said that if you can remember Woodstock, then you weren’t really there. At Gidgestock, we have a better saying: Gidgestock, if you were there last year then you will never forget it.

It is happier, friendlier, more relaxed version of Woodstock, with great bands, just like Woodstock, but without the half-naked hippies dancing in the mud. Thankfully.
