For people with a disability and their families, the NDIS represents a long overdue opportunity to gain the support they need to live inclusively as they wish in the community, to work or be engaged in valuable volunteer work in a regular organisation or business, to be involved in the social life of their community, or to achieve their own unique mix of goals.
But the NDIS can also appear complicated and a challenge - to gain access, to understand and communicate your goals in a good way, to understand what the NDIS can support and what is supported by other options, and then get your plan in place and working well.
Before you engage with the NDIS, it can be useful to understand the NDIS process so you get where you need to be. It is also helpful to undertake your own personal pre-planning, so you understand your goals and potential supports. This will allow you to engage in a much more positive way with the NDIS.
A 3 hour session which covers all you need to know about how the NDIS works, and allows attendees to start their own personal plan, so they can be ready to engage in a proactive and positive way with the NDIS.
