Getting off to a Good Start (K-2 session)
Tue. 21 February 2017, 3:30 pm – 6:00 pm AWST
This practical "hands-on" workshop will include a variety of ideas to get maths off to a good start in 2017. Paul will present a variety of simple routines that may be adapted to allow for differentiation within a year level or across year levels.
Specifically, Paul will target the four proficiency strands of the West Australian Mathematics Curriculum: Understanding, Fluency, Problem Solving and Reasoning, using Content from the Number and Geometry content strands from the Mathematics Curriculum.
Participants will walk away with a variety of ideas to get their classrooms buzzing at the start of the year. Don’t miss it as it is the only presentation of this type that Paul will be doing in Perth this year.
Note: Participants might like to bring a camera (phone) or tablet to record some of the ideas.
