Calling growers, makers, distributors and those interested in buying local food, we need your input to help our local food system work!
About this event
Are you a local grower, producer of food related items, distributor, veg box scheme host, or just interested in buying more of your food locally? If so, we need you!!
We are hosting a second Community visioning session ‘Getting more local food to local people’, this time online by zoom for those that couldn't make it in person to the first session on the 20th November.
We want to hear from you about our local food system, what you think is working, what is not working, what you would like to see happening and what are some of the ways we can work together to make that happen?
This session will be hosted by the current Steering group of the ‘Bass Coast Food Collective’ a consortium of local organisations, growers and passionate people, who would like to see better systems in place. This group got together to put an application into council to help put together a Business case for the Collective and find better ways to get local food to local people. We need your input!
Meet other local growers, increase your networks, create new connections, find out new places to get local food from, discuss challenges and opportunities and put forward your views in this facilitated session. There will also be an opportunity to talk in small groups in 'virtual breakout rooms' to brainstorm ideas.
These is a free session, however bookings are essential so we know how many facilitators we need. Zoom links will be emailed to registered participants in the days before the event. We would love to hear from you!
