About this event
The theme for NAIDOC Week 2022 is Get up! Stand up! Show up! Join us to learn more about our shared histories, the diverse cultures and to celebrate the achievements of First Nations Peoples. This session will explore where you can go to further your understanding of how to be a better ally and how you can stand up for change. We will also share some of the stories of the inspiring Aboriginal people that have stood up and are still standing up for change.
Suitable for adults and secondary school age. Bring along your device or notebook to take notes. This event will be held indoors with appropriate ventilation.
About the workshop lead:
Lisa Moloney has worked with Reconciliation Victoria as their Education officer and provided educator webinars for embedding First Nation perspectives in curriculum, exploring Australian and Victorian resources and how to complete an education Reconciliation Action Plan. She has also worked as an environmental education officer for the City of Whitehorse, teaching in bushland settings with young children for nature play, bush kinder program and provided excursions for preschool, primary and secondary students.
