Workshop 1:
Introduction to Ayurveda - Body, Mind and Soul - the Multidimensional Life

Discover the foundational principles of Ayurveda, meditation, and yoga.

Explore the three primary, mind-body types of Vata, Pitta, and Kapha and identify your own to use throughout the workshop.

Workshop 2:
Food as Medicine - Nourishment for Body, Mind and Soul

Learn how to select the most nourishing foods for your mind-body type.

The Ayurvedic nutritional practices you will uncover will help you maintain vibrant health, appropriate weight, and optimised digestion.

Workshop 3:
Perpetual Renewal - Detoxification, Purification and Rejuvenation

Focus on the tools and practices of rejuvenation and renewal and identify and eliminate toxins that accumulate in the mind and body. Learn gentle rejuvenating practices, holistic techniques to relieve stress and anxiety and the secrets to restful sleep and chart a personal daily routine for balance and health.

Emotional Freedom - Intimacy with Yourself

Find out why emotional freedom is the key to your physical, mental, and emotional health. Learn in-depth practices and techniques of conscious communication, biological responses and the steps of emotional release which will support the transformation of your relationships and allow you to experience more joy.

Workshop 5:
The Five Gateways to the Inner Pharmacy - Metabolising Sensory Experiences

Delve into the healing power of the five senses: sound, touch, sight, taste, and smell. You will learn how to strengthen the body’s inner power by using specific tools involving each of the senses to heal, nourish and balance your mind-body for optimum health.

Suitable for all fitness levels and body types. No previous yoga experience required.

Relax and unwind with a three-hour restorative yoga workshop focusing on deep rest and rejuvenation. The flight and fight mechanism in the body will be “turned off”, bringing the response system back into equilibrium giving your body a chance to repair and restore wellbeing, relieving fatigue and reducing stress.

The workshop facilitates quiet contemplation about your true nature and creates the space to listen to your inner voice.

A series of restorative postures, combined with gentle breath work and meditation will take you to a place of inner peace and stillness and will increase your flexibility without over stretching.

Karen Pattie:

Karen has been a student of yoga for 25 years and teaching for 9 years. Her aim is to make yoga accessible to everyone no matter what gender, age, size or condition they are in.

‘Yoga is an opportunity to open the door to feeling better about yourself. So much about the journey of yoga is parallel to our journey in life and we can learn about ourselves in these quiet moments. I encourage students to honour how they feel and listen to their body’s needs’, says Karen.
