Event description
Getting the most out of your farm dam: for stock health, water quality and retention, and biodiversity

About this Event

Join Sustainable Farms (and our partners Holbrook Landcare and Murray LLS) for this field day as part of our 2019 Summer Series.

This family friendly field day will focus on works you can implement to your farm dam to encourage biodiversity, improve water quality, and enrich stock health. Our hosts are Sue and Chris Cain, who have been working to improve the environment and natural assets on their property 'Beelawong'. Come along to hear about their experience of implementing these works, and to learn more about what you can do for your farm dams.

Come to learn and chat, and stay for a free BBQ dinner. There will be a kids program, so bring them along too.

Speakers include Sue and Chris Cain of Beelawong, Susanne Watkins (freshwater ecologist, Murray LLS), Eve Hall (Veterinarian, Murray LLS), Dave Hunter (frog specialist, Office of Environment and Heritage) and senior ecologist Mason Crane from Sustainable Farms.
