Genetics for Biology Teachers Biology - SOLD OUT


Join us for a full day, 6-hour NESA accredited Teacher Development Day covering key content within the HSC Biology syllabus, including ethics, scientific discoveries and processes. Hear from passionate and engaging UNSW Researchers and Academics on key content areas for Syllabus Modules.

Workshops with UNSW Researchers and Academics will cover data analysis 101, current ethical standards in both animal and human research design, the Genetics of key disease processes like cancer, inflammation, DNA modifications and technologies with a focus on CRISPR and more to be announced!

To ensure you and your colleagues get the utmost from the day each session will include a network breakout workshop to facilitate bringing the content into your classroom.

The event will be catered with coffee and tea served throughout, in addition to morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea.

Delegates will be contacted prior to the event regarding specific program details, including speaker details.

You can elect to pay by card now or to be invoiced later; please select the appropriate ticketing options for this. For those being invoiced, we will issue the invoices after the event itself; you will not need to finalise payment in advance in order to attend.



NOTE - This event is only open to NSW Teachers. This is not a free event, if you have purchased a ticket with no cost, an invoice will be generated and sent to your school. The content covered at this event is subject to change, we endeavour to ensure delegates are informed and kept up to date with any changes.

The program will have 6 hours accreditation toward Proficiency in the following Australian Teaching Standards; 1.1.2, 3.2.2, 4.5.2, and 6.2.2
