Event description
A forum to support families in the day-to-day work of raising children free from gender stereotypes.

About this event

Children become aware of gender stereotypes, hearing and seeing messages about what they ‘should’ like to play with and can begin to change. This means they may stop doing activities they love, or are important for their development, because they don’t see other girls or boys playing that way. They might also stop because they are learning strong messages about what girls and boys ‘should do’.

Hear about ways to support your children to be their true selves free to follow their interests and passions whatever they may be.

Refreshments provided.

This is a child friendly and COVID safe event.

Facilitated by Level Playground and brought to you by Mount Alexander Early Years Steering Group in partnership with Mount Alexander Shire Council.
