On the 31st of March the international transgender day of visibility, the Queer Collective is holding and name and gender change workshop with Inner City Legal Centre (ICIC). This is a queer autonomous event, and all participation will remain anonymous.
The workshop will provide students, staff and members of the community information on documentation, the processes of name and gender changes in NSW and recognition of these changes on formal documents.
Our presenters will be Phoebe Mountain from ICLC and Patrick Dunn from Dentons. They have been closely involved with Inner City Legal Service’s trans and gender diverse legal service and are able to speak to the main legal issues people face when they transition. If there are specific questions you would like answered, send through on https://app.sli.do/event/iwu1bqof for them to be answered during the workshop.
This workshop is in person, in a secured space. It will be recorded (hiding participants identities that view it live) which can be archived and published on queer collective pages as a free public resource that anyone in the UNSW community can access.
