On the Eve of World Human Right's Day come join us as we explore the interconnection between Climate, Gender and Human Rights using the Sustainable Development Goals as a framework for finding solutions.

How do the causes, impacts and solutions of climate change interconnect with issues such as gender, race, poverty, socio-economic status and abilities?

Join us as we explore these questions on the eve of World Human Rights Day.

With Carmen Lawrence as our MC we will hear from Speakers Dr Naomi Godden and Dr Petra Tschakert both recently returned from the latest international climate negotiations in Marrakesh as they share about their work in Gender, Climate and the disproportionate impacts on vulnerable communities.

Their keynote presentations will be followed by a panel discussion with questions from the audience.

This event is a call to action!

  • An opportunity to explore these issues from different perspectives
  • To hear from speakers and a panel from a range of backgrounds
  • To discuss amongst ourselves what this means for us here in WA
