Description

GenXi

What type of world do you want to create?

The future is here: creativity and imagination are no longer limited by our reality. Emerging Technologies are allowing us to create new worlds, educate in new mediums and support burgeoning possibilities. The next generation of youth are growing up in an age of significant change; equipping kids with the right skills let’s them realise their potential. Some schools are catching on, teaching the next generation in-demand and increasingly relevant skills; from coding and robotics to design.

Facebook, Google, Samsung and HTC are a few of the global companies driving change in the VR space. A new medium set to transform every industry, VR is already disrupting industries across the board: education, architecture, real estate, health, sports and entertainment to name a few.

A child’s imagination is unparalleled, but the reality we live in often suppresses this innate ability. This bootcamp has been formed to unleash creativity and plant seeds of opportunity.

Brennan Hatton

Augmented Reality Developer

I am an Augmented and Virtual Reality expert specializing in social educational experiences for improving communities.

After spending 3 years building and growing Meta’s global augmented developer community, I gained a valuable understanding of the best uses for this technology. I concluded that it lies in the intersection of two fields. 1) Training through experiences and 2) Social (This is why Facebook and Google are invested).

On the other hand, from my experience in running educational programs and companies I believe our education system and training tools are lacking, particularly in emotional intelligence. This will become increasingly more important as technology evolves in automation, AI and social networking.

This is why I founded Equal Reality. A tool for social training through simulated virtual reality role playing to provide new and otherwise impossible points of view to empower compassion and understanding.

Annie Harper

Founder

Programmer, Artist, High Technology – Human interaction Designer focused on social educational experiences.

Technology is re-inventing how we interact with society, each other, and the world at large. Jobs are becoming automated, industries are being re-invented, new ways of interacting with each other are being born.

If computers are going to be taking manual labor jobs, where does that leave us? With tasks humans do BETTER. Creativity, Social skills, Pattern Recognition, Higher Cognitive Thinking. These are the qualities that must be fostered.

This is why I founded Equal Reality. A tool for social training through simulated virtual reality role playing to provide new and otherwise impossible points of view to empower compassion and understanding.
