Description

Gemfest – Festival of Gems is an annual 4-day exhibition providing a unique gemstone and jewellery experience including offerings from respected local, national and international gemstone traders, quality entertainment and food, and some of the finest Australian Sapphires you will ever see. Held every August at the Allan King Memorial Park in Anakie Queensland, Gemfest is a showcase for Australian and International gemstones. miner-hoorayEach year thousands of visitors come from far and wide to share the excitement, enjoy the Gemfields and marvel at the gems on display. Gemfest visitors often stay for the entire winter season and are regular and loyal visitors to our district. The festival enjoys a high profile in the industry as one of Australia’s Premier Gem Shows and this year promises to be another huge success. Gemfest – Festival of Gems is a non profit organisation committed to generating Tourism throughout the Central Queensland Sapphire Fields.

Do I need to purchase a ticket to attent the Legend and the Locals Concert Sara Storer?

To attend the Legend and the Locals concert featuring Sara Storer you are required to purchase a general admission ticket to Gemfest. So you can either gain entrance with your 4 day Passport Pass or purchase a daily entrance pass.


Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

This event is available for all ages. No minimum age required to attend this event. If you wish to purchase alcohol at the Gemfest Bar you will be required to provide ID if requested.


What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Free parking is available at the event.

A free bus service is also available from Miners Heritage, Rubyvale, Sapphire to Gemfest, stopping at various stops along the way.

What can I bring into the event?

No alcohol is permitted into the event. There is a bar service provided if you wish to purchase alcohol.

Dogs are permitted into the event. The new law requires that the person in charge of a dog carries a bag or container that is suitable for picking up and disposing of their dog's waste.

Where can I collect my Passport and Tickets from?

You will be able to print your tickets off once you have paid for them. Passports will be available for collection at the main entrance gate with proof of payment. If you misplace your tickets please bring photo identification and we can locate your tickets if purchased online.
