Event description
The Geelong Nature Forum is back for 2021 with the theme 'Where The Rivers Run'.

About this event

The Geelong Nature Forum 'Where the Rivers Run' celebrates the wonderful animal and plant life of our region’s rivers, creeks and wetlands, and the amazing volunteer groups who look after them.

This year, in response to COVID-19 restrictions, the Geelong Nature Forum is an exhibition showing in the National Wool Museum from now until 28 November 2021. The exhibition features a variety of displays and art works including:

  • Nature volunteer group and agency displays
  • The Alphabet Bird Project - showcasing works by year 4 students portraying 26 species of waterway and wetland birds threatened in the Geelong Region
  • A moving visual and audio experience of the Barwon River.

National Wool Museum admission prices apply to see the exhibition and tickets are available at the door.

Entry prices to the National Wool Museum:

Adult: $10.00

Child: $6.00

Concession: $8.00

Family: $30.00 (for 2 adults and up to 4 children)

You can also wander the completed section of the Green Spine on Malop Street to view the range of decals featuring illustrations of the local waterway and wetland birds drawn by primary school students.

The Geelong Nature Forum is organised by the Geelong Field Naturalists Club, the City of Greater Geelong, Friends of the Barwon and and the Department of Environment Land Water and Planning.

It is sponsored by Barwon Water and the Corangamite Catchment Management Authority.
