Event description

Description

Gippsland Centre Against Sexual Assault invite you to attend our first professional development forum which will make up a series of professional workshops throughout 2019. We have put together these forums as part of our commitment to happy and healthy comunity; in paticular with a focus on achieving better sexual health and relationship outcomes for children and young people.

We hope that through your attendance you can gain further insight to our work, build your knowledge of understanding and responding to childhood and adolescent development and actively participate through your own knowledge sharing and feedback as to how we can build on what is already being done or introduce new ideas as we move forward.

OUR PRESENTERS

Sue Moreira has spent the last twenty years working with, caring for and responding to the needs of young people. Sue has a broad understanding of the importance of the contexts that impact on young people’s lives and this gives her critical insight into the underlying causes of adolescent health problems. As someone who firmly believes in strengthening the voices of young people and her acute awareness of the power of relationships has led to her current role as a relationships and sexuality educator with Family Planning Victoria. Sue’s passion for empowering young people to make positive decisions is evident in her sessions be they, small student groups, large whole year level lectures or running professional development for teachers.

Looking forward to working with you

Sue
