Glamping tents will be sold separately. You can choose to a pre-pitched tent and bring your own mattress and bedding, or get the full glamping experience with a real foam mattress (no air beds), pillows, linen, rugs, fairy lights.

Rather than buying a cheap disposable tent, Gaytimes' glamping is the sustainable and hassle-free often option. Best of all, it is one of the most affordable of any camping festival in Australia -- costing just $50 per person per night.

Basic Glamping Tent (Just a tent, BYO bedding): From $300 exc GST + booking fee per tent

Deluxe Glamping Tent (With bedding etc, just bring yourself): From $350 exc GST + booking fee per tent

Please note every glamper will still require a festival ticket.

LOCATION

After four magical years at Lake Mountain, Gaytimes will be coming down the mountain and moving to a new home in the forest for 2020.

We've found somewhere closer, warmer, more accessible, more convenient and more comfortable.

Gaytimes 2020 will be held in lush, green campground at the foothills of the Dandenongs in the Yarra Valley, just a 1 hour 15 minute drive from Melbourne.

Full details will be unveiled soon.

SHUTTLE BUS / TRANSPORT

The Gaytimes Shuttle Buses will return in 2020, proudly sponsored by Vanessa who get help you home safe.

Shuttle Bus tickets are per person and all tickets are return.

The shuttle buses will depart Melbourne and travel direct to Gaytimes

The shuttle buses will depart on Friday and return on Sunday.

Further details of the shuttle bus schedule coming soon.

CAR PASSES

Returning this year, Gaytimes is partnering with Treecreds to offset the carbon footprint of the festival.

Every vehicle will be required to purchase a car pass.

You can purchase your car pass with your ticket, or in cash on arrival.

Caravans and RVs will be required to purchase a Caravan / RV car pass.

BRING YOUR OWN

Gaytimes is a fully licensed BYO festival but with a strict ban on glass and total fire ban. In 2020, Gaytimes will also have a limit on BYO per person.

Gaytimes is fully catered with a breakfast canteen, food trucks, specialty coffee and cocktail bars.

Gaytimes will also sell other essentials in case you forgot or run out.

We provide free drinking water.

Bring cash as there are very limited cash out facilities.

We’ll send you a checklist of what to bring (and what not to bring).

Don’t forget you’ll need to bring your own good quality tent, camping gear, and warm clothes.

If you hate camping, we encourage you to opt for glamping -- it is not only the sustainable option but also cheaper than buying your own throw away camping gear.

As part of our commitment to making the festival more environmentally sustainable, we will not be selling plastic disposable water bottles and encourage you to BYO a disposable drink bottle.

We will also be reducing our use of single use plastic throughout the festival.

We encourage you to do your bit by reducing your waste and leaving no trace.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

- Strictly no glass. Vehicles will be searched on arrival, and glass will be confiscated, as will excessive alcohol or contraband.

- Total fire ban day and night.

- All bathrooms and change rooms will be gender neutral facilities.

- No strobes.
