Description

Gathering of Kindness: The narrative approach with Dr Lorraine Dickey

Northeast Health Wangaratta

Monday 30 October 2017

In partnership with the Hush Foundation, Safer Care Victoria and the Victorian Managed Insurance Authority, Northeast Health Wangaratta is delighted to be hosting a lunchtime conversation with Dr Lorraine Dickey, CEO and Founder of The Narrative Initiative.

Dr Dickey is a senior physician, an advanced narrative facilitator and a patient with chronic illness, who uses unique narrative approach to work with all types of people in health care to address complex workplace challenges, such as patient and family centered care, compassion fatigue, burnout, and challenges in professionalism and ethics.

This Gathering of Kindness day at Northeast Health Wangaratta is an opportunity to reflect and to commit to an extra focus on these behaviours in our work, and in our life.

The one hour session will allow time for you to hear about narrative techniques and how to apply the practical application of the techniques in your work. Let’s talk about a kinder health system and how we may get there.

Where: Learning and Teaching Centre Auditorium
When: Monday, 30 October 2017
Play session: 12.00pm to 1.00pm

Places are limited, so book early to avoid disappointment.
