Description

Home-made jams, chutneys and sauces make great Christmas presents. If you’d like to learn ideas and recipes on how to make preserves at home, then this workshop is for you. Great for beginners to get all the hints and tips on how to make jams, preserves, butters or savoury pickles and chutneys.

You will learn about the practices of sterilising, heating and storing your preserved foods. Our presenters will also demonstrate and discuss practical ways to avoid and reduce food and packaging waste and how to recycle unavoidable packaging.

Participants will also take home recipes to try at home.

These sustainable workshops are funded by Campbelltown City Council with the goal of increasing environmental stewardship within the Campbelltown community.
