Event description

Description

Save the Children Australia is celebrating a unique milestone – 100 years of protecting children from harm in Australia and around the world.

This inaugural Garden Party Fundraiser at Pialligo Estate, will help ensure that children and young people can continue to engage in learning, that families can provide positive, safe and supportive home environments, and that communities are strong, connected and safe.

More about the event

Chef Darren Perryman will talk about how the Pialligo kitchen garden inspired his English-style menu, drawing on culinary influences from North England, which are part of his and Save the Children founder, Eglantyne Jebb’s heritage. Save Ambassador, James Brown of Pearls of Australia will also talk about farming at Broken Bay, home to the world’s most lustrous and rare Akoya pearl – and give you the chance to win a farm tour.

It is an afternoon to enjoy with friends, eating, drinking and playing traditional English games such as quoits and croquet… and don’t forget to dress to impress Edwardian Style with prizes for best outfit for women, best hat for men.

Dress Code: Summer Tea Party – go Edwardian if you like

Please join us in our ambition to create a world in which every child is given the chance to develop to their full potential, wherever they are and whatever their circumstances. Let’s get together for this unique occasion to create long-term positive change for children and families facing multiple and complex challenges.

We look forward to seeing you.
