Gameful Urban Mobility
Event Information
Description
Gameful Urban Mobility - Increasing enjoyment and liveability
This workshop will deliver academic and practical knowledge of mobility, game design and urban liveability.
During the full-day session, we will look at urban mobility in Melbourne through a game design lens, implementing a methodology to potentially solve negative issues in mobility like congestion or urban frustration. We will learn how game design elements can be applied to urban mobility and how this can potentially solve those issues and increase enjoyment. We will explore what the benefits of mobility for individuals and the society are and how all this is tied to urban liveability.
Understanding the potential of applying game design elements to urban mobility will enable the participants to look at today’s challenges in mobility from a different perspective. Instead of working with limitations, we propose to work positively with chances and opportunities to achieve the same – if not better – results in resolving those issues.
Participants will get the opportunity to apply their knowledge by developing concepts and ideas for possible implementations specific to Melbourne.
