Event Details

Game Connect Asia Pacific (GCAP) (October 24th-25th) is Australia’s premier game development conference, focusing specifically on skills development, addressing industry trends and international business matching. GCAP delivers thought provoking, creative and innovative sessions covering programming, art, design, business and more, from leaders in the local and international game development industry. GCAP has a focus on mid-career professionals, with medium-to-advanced level content geared towards upskilling attendees and helping them become the best developers they can be.

We are also proud to host GCAP Loading, our early-career focused conference on October 22nd. GCAP Loading features talks specifically geared to help you succeed in the games industry, whether that is getting work, starting your own studio, freelancing, supporting the community and more. With specialised talks from renowned industry veterans and content tailored to school leavers, university students and early-career developers, GCAP is a must-see if you are just starting out.

The 2017 theme for GCAP, ‘The Ripple Effect,’ is all about influence. The effect one person can have on the industry, the influence of particular technologies or voices, the change even small decisions can affect over time. Understanding influence and learning to harness it is crucial for success.

This year will be GCAP's largest yet, with tracks for design, art, tech and programming, business and commercialisation, culture and personal development and much more as well as a heavy focus on skills, professional development and cultivating new and existing relationships within the community.

All GCAP tickets except Student tickets include entrance to the Tuesday networking party and the Australian Game Developer Awards.

More information about GCAP can be found on our website, http://www.gcap.com.au
