Queensland Business Leaders Hall of Fame and State Library of Queensland is proud to present Dr Glen Richards. From a small vet practice in Townsville to a multi-million dollar integrated pet care empire, Glen Richards is one of Australia’s most successful business leaders.
Glen will be in a conversation with Peta Ellis, Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Queensland University of Technology (QUT), that is guaranteed to be motivating, frank and thought-provoking.
Game Changers is a Queensland Business Leaders Hall of Fame initiative presented by State Library of Queensland, QUT Business School and the Queensland Library Foundation.
About the speaker
Glen grew the Greencross empire from humble beginnings into an ASX-listed company with 300 pet stores and 200 veterinary clinics across Australia, and was also co-founder of Petbarn before it merged with Greencross.
Glen was a resident panelist and investor on on Channel Ten’s Shark Tank series. Shark Tank, as well as being prime time entertainment, promoted entrepreneurship and innovation and assisted early stage entrepreneurs with funding, publicity and mentorship
Since retiring from an executive role with Greencross, Glen now focusses on professional investment, mentoring and directing several companies. He supports early-stage businesses, including his Shark Tank investments.

About our facilitator
Peta Ellis is regarded as a human transformation architect, business ecosystem builder, community activator, keynote speaker, and is currently Entrepreneur-in-Residence at QUT.
Peta founded four companies before age 30, and has a 20 year background in communications, public relations, marketing and media relations. She is also Entrepreneur-In-Residence at Ipswich Girls Grammar School.
