I’m a My Dan Murphy’s customer. How do I redeem my discount?
Please check your inbox for an email from the My Dan Murphy’s team with a unique code to redeem your My Dan Murphy’s benefits.
I have a promo code. How do I use it?
Ooh, lucky you! When you click the green ‘Tickets’ button, a box will appear with all the ticket types. Just click ‘Enter Promotional Code’ in the top right corner and your promo benefit will apply.
When will I get my ticket(s)?
After completing your purchase, your tickets will be emailed to you as a PDF. You’ll need to print these out with you and bring them to the event. If you don’t receive your tickets, please check your junk/spam folder. If not there, please login to your Eventbrite account and check your account to see if you entered the correct email address.
Can you resend my ticket(s)?
You can reprint your own tickets from Eventbrite. Please login to your account, go to ‘My Tickets’, select the tickets then reprint them. If you have any issues, please email email@example.com with the details.
I’ve changed my mind. Can I get a refund?
Unfortunately refunds on tickets are unavailable. Please consider carefully before completing your ticket purchase.
Can I give my ticket to someone else?
If you’re unable to use your tickets, they can be transferred to another person, provided that person also meets the age requirements of the ticket type.
Can people under 18 attend?
In Melbourne and Sydney, people under 18 are welcome to attend the event. Please note that a valid ticket is still required, and all attendees under the age of 18 will be required to wear a wristband for the duration of their stay at GABS.
What do I need to bring with me to the event?
Please bring your ticket(s), either printed out or ready on your Eventbrite app (available on the App Store or Google Play), as well as photo ID for proof of age.
What happens when I get there?
On arrival, your ticket will be scanned and you’ll be given an Entry Wristband. This is your key to GABS, and will be loaded with any GABS Currency you’ve purchased with your ticket, or that you top up before or at the festival. Season Pass ticket holders will be given a tamper proof wristband (with barcode) which must be worn for all sessions that you attend.
Please be prepared to show your valid ID. All people under the age of 18 will be required to wear a wristband for the duration of their stay at GABS. Please note all bags are subject to inspection at any point during the event. Bottles, cans, glass, food, drink, alcohol, illicit drugs, illegal substances, fireworks, explosives or anything that can be used as a weapon cannot be brought into the festival.
As you enter, you’ll be given a Coopers Festival Glass and your Official GABS Guide. And then you’re good to go!
How does GABS Currency work?
GABS is a 100% cashless event. With no cash to handle, this helps our bars and exhibitors process transactions quickly, which means more time for you to enjoy the festival.
How can I purchase GABS Currency?
As mentioned above, your Entry Wristband will be loaded with any GABS Currency you've pre-purchased. This year, you can pre-purchase GABS Currency in amounts of $25, $50 and $75 with your ticket.
We strongly recommend purchasing Currency before the event so you can start the fun from the first minute. For reference, a paddle of five 85ml tasters (more on this below) costs $11, and a 285ml Coopers Festival Glass fill is $6 and up.
I’ve already bought my ticket, but think I’ll need more Currency. Help!
If you need to top up at the event, just head to one of our Currency stands or a roving Currency Seller.
If I don’t use all my Currency, can I get a refund?
If you don’t use all of your GABS Currency at the festival, never fear! GABS Currency refunds will be available online only from Monday 22 May (noon) to Sunday 4 June (midnight). Refunds will then be processed from Tuesday 6 June (6pm). Just make sure you hang on to your GABS Currency Wristband as you'll need the number printed on it to claim your refund. Visit gabsfestival.com/refunds between these dates to arrange your refund. Please note there is a $2 administration fee to process refunds.
I have applied to be a volunteer. Do I need to purchase a ticket?
Great work. We love our volunteers! All volunteers, once approved by our team and appointed a role, will be given a unique code to redeem one complimentary General Admission ticket to a session of their choice. Please note this ticket must be for a session held on a different day (or if on the same day, after the volunteer session).
Will tickets sell out?
The majority of GABS sessions will sell out. If in doubt, best to purchase your ticket as early as possible.
What if I don’t have proof of age?
GABS reserves the right to refuse admission to anyone unable to prove their age. No refunds will be provided in this occurrence.
When do the bars close?
All bars serving alcohol will close 15 minutes before the advertised closing time of each GABS session.
What sort of behaviour is unacceptable?
If anyone thinks GABS is a swillathon, they will only be disappointed. While GABS is all about responsible beer appreciation and education in a fun and festive atmosphere, anti-social behaviour will not be accepted. Please note also that all bags are subject to inspection at any point during the event. Bottles, cans, glass, food, drink, alcohol, illicit drugs, illegal substances, fireworks, explosives or anything that can be used as a weapon cannot be brought into the event.
I have a question that’s not answered here.
