Future of Waste - Can we create a world without waste?
Event Information
Description
Following on from a successful 2017 season, The Greenhouse Sessions are a monthly gathering of influential business leaders, passionate change-makers, experts and people curious to understand how we can leverage emerging technology to save the planet.
But this is so much more than just another tech meet-up.
Using the power of story, a panel of experts, a sprinkling of start-ups, content capture and collaboration, the Greenhouse Sessions promise to educate, inspire and create a framework for collaboration - leaving the audience with the power to author a different future.
In this session, we will be looking at the future of waste. Examining new circular economy production models to the latest advances in plastic eating microbes, we will be looking at what will happen to our waste, and if we will even have any. Be prepared for some tough questions, and some interesting answers from our panelists:
- Jodi Boylan - Executive Producer of War on Waste
- Ronni Kahn - Founder of OzHarvest
- Dr. Melissa Edwards - Senior Lecturer at the UTS Business School and a Research Director at the Centre for Business and Social Innovation
- Mark Chenery - Co-Director at Common Cause Australia
The evening's event will also feature three innovative start-ups pitching for your vote, $1,000 in prize money and the chance to win $10,000 at the grand finale.
