Description

The financial planning and advice industry is experiencing huge upheaval and change. The first thing that springs to mind is the Royal Commission, and that's definitely had a part to play. However, there are other drivers of change as well: technology (in particular AI & Machine Learning) are driving down costs, driving efficiencies and changing consumer expectations. With all this change going on, what does the future of financial advice look like? How will the industry adapt and evolve to these changes, and what does that mean for professionals working in the industry at the moment?

We've invited an amazing panel of speakers to share their insights about the future of the industry, and how professionals and companies can better prepare for what's around the corner.

Paul Feeney, Founder of MapMyPlan:
Paul is passionate about changing the way people access independent financial advice. After 10+ years as a private banker and financial planner he is now approaching financial advice with fresh set of eyes with the aim of making it available to everyone, at the same time, cutting the link between advice and product sales. Map My Plan is a self-directed, fully automated financial planning platform that enables anyone to build a personalised financial plan without needing to engage a financial adviser. Paul loves traveling and has lived and worked in lots of awesome places around the world (Kenya, Malaysia, Singapore, UK and of course Australia), in his spare time, he's built three companies from scratch and loves sampling wine from around the world.
