About this event
Future Food Boot Camp, part of Brisbane Economic Development Agency’s (Brisbane EDA) Future Food Initiative is our annual forum for Brisbane and South East Queensland’s food and beverage companies featuring industry thought leaders and trailblazers.
Facilitated by the University of Queensland’s Entrepreneur in Residence, Cameron Turner, this event will serve up a diverse menu of discussions led by industry leaders and experts covering recent shifts in consumer behaviour and future trends, strategies for navigating lockdowns, restrictions and building resilience, and first-hand success stories from local and national food companies.

About the Future Food Initiative
The Future Food Initiative is Brisbane EDA’s industry development program designed to nurture local talent within Brisbane and South East Queensland, and provide food entrepreneurs, producers and companies with the necessary skills, knowledge, networks and access to resources that will assist in the scaling of their enterprises.
The programs within the initiative are designed to build capability and provide connection pathways to new markets, customers and investors – both locally and globally.

About Cameron Turner
Over the last 30 years, Cameron has been a researcher, entrepreneur, CEO, inventor, management consultant, and academic. He has commercialised multiple food and agricultural technologies, developed extensive research projects within the food industry, and raised millions in funding and investment capital for four food and agricultural start-up companies, one of which he is still CEO of Progel.
Cameron developed and launched the world's most innovative probiotic drink Perkii and was on the advisory board of the 2019 Mars food Australia accelerator. Cameron is seen as a national leader in food and agriculture innovation, commercialisation and is now the Entrepreneur in Residence at the University of Queensland Business School.
