Event description
City of Sydney presents: Funding Fundamentals - online grant writing training for Sydney based creatives and cultural workers.

About this Event

Get the leg up you need to thrive in the creative and cultural sector.

Learn the basics of writing, winning, and acquitting your funding, as well as putting together a grant folder for future funding.

Grants, funding, awards, tenders and scholarships are often considered the holy grail of a successful arts career. But this revenue stream takes hard work and patience.

The City of Sydney is working with Creative Plus Business to deliver The Funding Fundamentals workshop series. All the workshops are specifically designed for creative businesses and arts and cultural practitioners in the City of Sydney local government area.

Workshop 1: Get grant ready

• How to prepare a grant folder and calendar

• How to research funding and consider applications

• All the grant jargon you need to know

All participants will receive:

• Access to a dedicated Funding Fundamentals Dropbox folder full of additional downloadable resources and workbooks to support you after the workshop concludes

• Access to additional free webinars to supplement the material covered in the workshop

• The possibility of further one-to-one business advice, mentoring and support from one of our creative industries business advisors
