Dr. Mike Murray and Dr. Larry Bell are offering a hands-on, 1.5 day weekend course for treating athletes as well as your difficult patients. Drawing upon their extensive combined experience of serving as medical specialists at over 100 National and International sport competitions, including 11 Olympic Games combined, Drs. Murray and Bell will inspire and motivate practitioners with in- depth practical demonstrations and a sharing of clinical gems. Workshops will show you how to detect various problems through observation and integrate various adjustive and soft tissue techniques to correct imbalances and restore function from the ground upwards. You will also learn simple rehabilitation exercises designed to improve human performance and the latest innovations in assessments and treatment strategies.
We also have a guest speaker Eileen Lavis. Eileen is a physiotherapist with a special interest in continence and pelvic floor dysfunction. She will discuss the pelvic floor and its role in core stability, how pelvic floor dysfunction presents, review some statistics and discuss anatomical changes of the pelvic floor muscles through life changes, demonstrate non-invasive assessment and screening tools (including real time ultrasound) to be used in clinical practice.
* Attendees must have manual therapist degree (physio, chiro, osteo, myotherapist, sports doctor, physiatrist, surgeon). ** Exceptions are possible if attendee provides evidence of formal learning of related subject matter.
