Professional & Artistic Development Winter Workshop Series

FULL DAY MASTER CLASS:

Photographic Narrative & Image Dialogues: series development from concept to creation

Presented By Katrin Koenning

Saturday, 02 September, 10am - 5pm

This one day masterclass will lend participants in-depth insight into working processes and influences behind Koenning's photographic practice, drawing particular attention to the notion of photographic series-development. The offer to provide portfolio reviews to each participant’s individual work will also be made available.

Katrin Koenning is a German artist in the field of still and moving image, who regularly exhibits her works in Australian and international solo and group exhibitions. Koenning is a former editor of the Australian PhotoJournalist Magazine, and winner of the prestigious Conscientious Portfolio Award and the Daylight Photo Award. Her images have been published widely in places such as ASX, The New York Times, The Guardian, Der Spiegel Magazine, National Geographic, The New Yorker, SBS Australia and many others. Most recently, she published her first book ‘Astres Noirs’ (Chose Commune). Koenning currently lives in Melbourne, Australia, where she practices and works as a freelance photographer and lecturer in photography.
