A talk on eco-materials, environmental wastes, bio-technologies & design!
2016 Sydney Design Festival
Presented by Claudia Echeverria Architect PhD(c) from SMaRT Center UNSW

Sustainable development involves an ethical integrated strategy that simultaneously addresses key social, environmental, and economic factors. This talk aims to join the emerging world trend of resourcing wastes as raw materials, engaging a multidisciplinary audience in the current debate. Claudia Echeverria Architect PhD(c) from SMaRT Center UNSW will present a dynamic talk about targeting the recovery of local wastes such as Recycled Polymers, Reclaimed Woods & Marine Wastes as main resources for the development of new sustainable materials. A range of possibilities will be presented as potential applications in the design and development of low carbon, low cost, environmentally sensitive, socially responsible and no-toxic eco-products.
